As a physician-led company with an affiliation of over 2,700 women’s healthcare providers across the U.S., UWH is uniquely positioned to provide healthcare to support women’s needs at every stage of their healthcare journey.

The Role

To help support a path for continued growth, UWH is looking to hire a Chief Accounting Officer to transform and lead the accounting function for the organization. The Chief Accounting Officer will be responsible for adapting and improving core accounting processes including setting up and integrating accounting related systems, streamlining and consolidating financial reporting at the site level across all four businesses, and helping to scale the business for future growth. The role will report directly to the CFO of Unified Women’s Healthcare, lead a team of ~50, and may be based anywhere in the US.

Experience & Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience, preferably within distributed healthcare services, but otherwise in payer, third party administration or hospital and medical group environments.
• Enterprise leadership experience, acting as the top accounting and/or finance executive in a company or large business unit, with associated management and board exposure.
• Track record of year-over-year delivery of distinctive value from strategic, transformative financial reporting and standardization activities across a distributed network.
• Expert financial, quantitative, and analytical skills. Excels in issue identification and problem-solving.
• Experience in the development, recommendation, analysis, and tracking of financial operations improvements.
• Experience working with disparate financial systems to streamline site level reporting for enterprise-wide visibility.
• Displays a high level of initiative; invites, challenges, and explores new ideas while understanding and communicating risks.
• Naturally inclusive and collaborative across a full range of internal stakeholders; leads cross-functionally by influence.
• Nimble and entrepreneurial in nature; makes decisions with imperfect information; wired for a fast-paced, high-change, private-equity sponsored environment.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
