The Role

To capitalize on future growth opportunities, Convergint seeks to add talent to their Finance organization through the hiring of a Chief Accounting Officer to oversee Corporate (CDC) accounting and tax functions as well as build the team, processes, and structure to support future growth. The role will collaborate frequently with Regional (CTC) teams and will lead a team of 5 direct reports and a growing accounting organization. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and ideally will be based at company offices in Schaumburg IL or Fort Myers FL, but the company is open to other commuting arrangements.

Experience & Requirements

• At least 20 years of professional experience, including broad business experience across accounting and finance
• Enterprise leadership experience, acting as the top accounting executive in a company or large business unit, with a global footprint, associated management and board exposure
• Experience working across a highly decentralized financial system requiring collaboration with central and regional business partners
• Expert knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control rules and guidelines
• Expert financial, quantitative, and analytical skills. Excels in issue identification and problem solving
• Experience in the development, recommendation, analysis, and tracking of operations improvements
• Strong understanding of economic, tax and banking processes
• Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent
• Experience supporting business decisions at the local and enterprise level, including evaluation, cost/benefit modeling, and risk analysis
