Peoples Gas seeks to hire a Director, Corporate Engineering to
provide leadership and direction to the corporate engineering
function. The role provides engineering support to over 11,000
miles of transmission and major distribution pipelines, as well as
compression stations and storage facilities throughout Florida. The
role reports directly to the Vice President, Strategic Growth,
Engineering, & Construction, leads a team of 10+, and is based in
The Director, Corporate Engineering is responsible for directing and
administering the engineering and process control function for the
Industrial Coatings business. This role provides the technical and
people leadership to maintain a world-class engineering
organization across multiple assets and programs. The Director
must demonstrate leadership characteristics to achieve sustainable

Experience & Requirements
• 15+ years of experience in engineering and capital project
design, preferably in the pipeline, gas transmission, oil & gas, or
other capital intensive industries.
• 5+ years of engineering supervisory experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of gas transmission and
• Experience developing and institutionalizing engineering
discipline standards. Experience working with engineering
standard committees for civil, electrical, instrumentation,
mechanical reliability, and controls hardware and software.
• Experience leading internal and external engineering design for
large-scale capital projects, greenfield and brownfield
expansions, and maintenance capital. Fluent in DMAIC/DFSS
• Experience leading a portfolio of major capital projects in
multiple geographic regions.
• Expertise in technical and reliability programs that support
manufacturing operations. Proven proficiency in creating and
executing equipment reliability strategies. This includes
development of consistency, best practices and synergies while
optimizing performance of equipment across a network of sites.
• Expert quantitative and analytical skills; able to baseline and
track operational KPIs.
• Experience applying Lean concepts to reduce cost and improve
productivity with a demonstrated track record of driving
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and
presentation skills, comfortable and credible with both internal
and external audiences.
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual;
