The Role
In line with their continued growth, Grand Fitness Partners seeks to hire a Director of Procurement to centralize procurement activities, create efficiency at scale, and ultimately create cost savings opportunities for the organization.
The Director of Procurement will develop and manage strategic sourcing and category management practices and deliver supply chain services at current and future scale. The Director of Procurement will have responsibility for approximately $30M in spend, with a heavy focus on indirect categories. The position will report to the President and may be based out of Tom’s River, NJ or Coral Springs, FL.
Experience & Requirements
•10+ years of strategic sourcing and supply chain experience
•Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, category management, contract management, and supplier performance
•Track record of year-over-year delivery of distinctive value from strategic sourcing and procurement-driven activities
•Understanding of the purchase-to-pay processes, including the value and use of system enablement
•Negotiation skills consistent with executive level management and understanding of contractual negotiations
•Extensive knowledge of risk-management strategies; expert-level financial, quantitative, and analytical skills
•Experience with supply chain optimization and continuous improvement/Lean initiatives
•Expertise leading a cross-functional demand planning process; proficiency in forecasting and inventory planning
•Process oriented; understands the full supply chain and the impact each function has within the ongoing sequence
•Demonstrated ability to effectively interact in a cross-functional environment across all levels of executive management and a geographically dispersed footprint
•Demonstrated ability to build and maintain internal relationships; able to drive alignment
•Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences
•A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate him/herself and others
•Demonstrated ability to attract and retain top talent
•Belief in a culture of engagement to motivate and develop a best in class procurement/supply chain team
