Imperial Dade operates 100+ warehouses nationally serving more than 90,000 customers annually. In October 2020, Imperial Dade acquired P&R Paper Supply (P&R), a family-owned and operated company since 1965. Headquartered in Redlands, CA, P&R is a distributor of janitorial supplies, packaging, and food service disposable products to private and public businesses throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, and Washington

P&R has five regional warehouses that stock over 7,000 items in ~500,000 square feet of warehousing. They operate over 70 delivery vehicles and service over 5,000 customers across California, Arizona, Nevada, and Washington. With nearly 60 years of experience, the company has built a strong reputation for its knowledgeable sales force, wide breadth of products, and high level of customer service.

The Role

The American Paper and Plastics General Manager will oversee the five sites and have 8 direct reports: 4 Branch Managers, a Customer Service Manager, a Warehouse Manager, an Accounting Manager, and an HR Manager. This leader will report to the Regional President, West, and work closely with Regional Sales and Regional Operations counterparts. This General Manager will be responsible for five sites (three larger than 100K square feet) and the overall P&L of this division (~$220M in sales annually).

Experience & Requirements

• 15+ years of experience that includes progressive leadership responsibilities including P&L management, preferred experience in wholesale, distribution, or service provider environments
• Expertise in all general DC management functional areas, including customer service, collections, warehouse operations, quality/inspection, facility and fleet management, scheduling/routing, and delivery
• Experience in a competitive market that requires high levels of customer service with many small/medium-sized customers
• Process and results-oriented in setting and pursuing aggressive goals, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational success, and marshaling resources to accomplish goals and objectives
• A natural mentor: demonstrated ability to develop talent, recruit and lead cross-functional teams, and foster a collaborative culture
• Experience forecasting, budgeting, and leading quarterly and annual business planning processes
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding, and proactive individual; a natural bias for action with the ability to deal with ambiguity
