The Company
Ares Management (“Ares”) is one of the world’s largest investment managers operating in the credit, private equity, and real estate markets. Its Private Equity group has ~$30 billion of assets under management, targeting market-leading businesses that demonstrate attractive long-term growth opportunities across a diverse mix of industries.
In 2021, Ares stood up a new company, US Heart & Vascular (“USHV”), to serve as the national platform for operating its acquired cardiovascular practices. USHV currently operates six practices with ~100 physicians and 50 locations across Texas, Arizona, and Kansas with plans to continue to expand the platform nationally. The growth strategy is twofold: (1) acquire additional cardiovascular practices in multiple geographies nationally, and (2) grow practices organically primarily through expansion of ancillary services.
The Role
Pima Heart and Vascular (“Pima”) was the first and largest acquisition to join the USHV platform. Based in Tucson, Pima is the largest privately owned and operated cardiovascular practice in Arizona. Pima offers comprehensive cardiac services including disease prevention, advanced diagnostics, cardiac and pulmonary disease management, interventional cardiology, sleep studies, and nuclear medicine. Approximately 40 physicians provide services in 30 clinics throughout Southern Arizona, as well as at their Vascular Lab, Vein Center, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and at most area hospitals. USHV is now seeking to hire a Market Leader of Tucson to oversee operations and be accountable for the ~$100M P&L for Pima.
