The Role
As a Plant Manager at our largest revenue-generating facility in the US, you will be a critical player in the business by managing all aspects of plant operations while driving a culture of safety, compliance, efficiency, and profitability. This position requires a leader with the ability to forecast, plan, and follow-through with plant enhancements. From achieving production and compliance KPIs, to partnering interdepartmentally across Tradebe locations, you must possess multifaceted knowledge about the environmental services industry. A successful candidate will split their time between the plant and the office to understand and address any operational and employee challenges.
Experience & Requirements
• P&L management; ensuring operating costs align with budgeted and projected revenue. Monitor and control expenses related to labor, materials, supplies, disposal, and SG&A to meet or exceed budgeted targets.
• Leading, influencing, and prioritizing a culture of safety that drives EHS objectives through safety committees, training, and leading by example to create a safe workplace.
• Involvement and management of site capital budget and projects.
• Foster a positive work environment by implementing strategies to boost employee engagement, morale, and retention.
• Ensure the facility is properly staffed in all plant production operations.
• Maintain expert knowledge on the facility’s capabilities and processes such as blending, bulking, cylinder management, fuels blending, lab pack processing, organic solid waste recycling, pumping, shredding, and thermal desorption.
• Work with Compliance Managers and participate in inspections/meetings with regulatory agencies including IDEM, EPA, OSHA, and FRA.
• Ensure the facility remains in compliance with RCRA Part B permit, and DOT regulations.
• Ensure proper disposal outlets are selected for materials and schedule outbounds to maintain inventory levels.
• Work with managers and logistics at TSDFs to coordinate and ensure accuracy of outbound management of waste materials from disposal facilities.
• Mentors and participates in the development of employees to contribute to the continued growth of our people and company.
• Participate in PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) and Process Safety Management.
• Collaborate with Managers and People & Culture to assist with the implementation and execution of employee engagement initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, and other departments for process improvements
