The Role

Reporting to the CEO, the Project Manager – Greenfield will initiate, plan, manage and deliver concurrent geographic expansion projects, including both distribution centers and satellite locations. Project management responsibilities will encompass all end-to-end facets of each project, including: site identification and selection; lease negotiations; design and layout planning; construction (in conjunction with landlord resources); equipment spec’ing, sourcing and installation; staffing; budgets; and go-live planning. The Project Manager will utilize and evolve an existing, robust, Smartsheet-based “Greenfield Playbook” to execute each project.

Experience & Requirements

• Manage a broad range of site-level activities. Drive strategic and tactical activities to completion.
• Clarify and codify project objectives and scope and participants’ roles and responsibilities.
• Define resource requirements and manage resource availability and execution.
• Develop project-specific budgets and track costs, providing feedback to ensure delivery within budgeted amounts.
• Prepare and communicate detailed project plans and timelines, capturing key milestones, workstreams and activities. Ensure projects are delivered on-schedule. Drive consistency in progress reporting from all projects up to the program level.
• Manage and adjust for changes in scope or resources and communicate these proactively.
• Identify, highlight and mitigate potential risks and ensure that “lessons learned” from previous projects are followed.
• Professionally communicate (both verbally and in writing) with a broad range of audiences, ranging from hourly associates to senior executives.
• Facilitate and lead effective meetings that provide clear takeaways and actionable items for the team. Produce and present clear, concise, and professionally-written communications and presentations.
• Work to create flow by foreseeing and resolving conflict and removing impediments to delivery.
• Collect and maintain information in real-time within the Greenfield Playbook. Drive continuous improvement. Identify and implement playbook improvements as appropriate.
