Footprint was founded in 2014 by former Intel engineers. The company employs more than 2,700 employees with operations in the U.S., Mexico, Europe, and Asia. Footprint was named to the 2020 Fortune “Change the World” list in 2020 and was named a CNBC Disruptor 50 company in 2021.

The Role

Footprint is well positioned to continue their strong history of growth. Since November of 2021, Footprint has added 1,400 invention disclosures and currently has >$350M recurring annual revenue under contract from leading companies such as Starbucks, Walmart, Costco, Tyson and Albertsons. With a growing contractual backlog greater than $4 billion, Footprint expects to achieve revenue of $1 billion over the next three years. Footprint employs more than 2,700 employees with operations in the U.S., Mexico, Europe, and Asia. To capitalize on this growth and set the operational foundation for future growth, Footprint seeks to hire the Senior Vice President, Sales & Customer Solutions to develop and lead a best-in-class sales organization and collaborate cross-functionally with R&D and customers for package and process development and new product launch. The SVP will report directly to the CEO, with a preference to be based at Footprint headquarters in Gilbert, AZ (Phoenix).

Experience & Requirements

• 15+ years of sales experience in a package manufacturing or food and beverage environment.
• Leadership of commercial function with accountability for greater than $300 million in revenue.
• Experience in a multi-channel environment, both direct and through channel partnerships or distributors. Ideal candidates will have experience with a similar customer base (e.g., food and beverage manufacturers and large retailers).
• Experience in a multi-customer environment with long sales cycles that requires navigation of complex customer processes to become an approved and preferred vendor.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a geographically dispersed commercial team. Strong leadership skills and proven judgment of talent, with an emphasis on hiring and developing high performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead by influence. Collaborative and team oriented.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate him/herself and others; a natural bias for action and ability to deal with ambiguity; ability to work in a fast-paced, private-equity sponsored environment.
