Hiller is a trusted and innovative group of fire and life safety experts offering fire protection and life safety products and services that are preserving lives and property all around the world. For more than 100 years, Hiller has been laser-focused on one goal – making the world a safer place.

Hiller’s services include design, engineering, inspections, and routine and emergency maintenance for fire suppression, detection, and sprinkler systems. As a distributor, Hiller’s fire and life safety products include portable and fixed fire extinguishers, hoses and reels, nozzles, foam, and other equipment used in fire detection and suppression. Hiller also provides safety equipment such as gloves, fire-resistant clothing, safety glasses, masks, and air-breathing apparatus.

The Role

With the recent operational scaling, the leadership team now seeks to hire a VP of Procurement to stand up a professional sourcing organization, focused on high quality customer service and strategic vendor relationships while balancing both cost and quality.

The VP of Procurement will build and oversee a center-led strategic sourcing organization that will support business stakeholders in a more meaningful way that aligns with the company’s growth strategy. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will ideally be based in a Major Metro Area near a Hiller facility.

Experience & Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess: (1) experience in a business of relevant scope and scale, preferably with a similar product base, (2) a strong record of leveraging modern strategic sourcing processes to deliver value in complex, multi-site settings across a variety of spend categories, direct and indirect; and (3) a coaching/mentoring approach with the interpersonal skills to build support, influence action, and drive positive outcomes across the company.
