Matt Padberg is a Vice President in PierceGray’s Chicago office and a member of the firm’s Commercial Practice. He came to search after two decades in consulting, and joined PierceGray three years ago.
Matt leads searches across a wide range of industries, with a functional focus on commercial and operations. He approaches them the way he approached consulting work, focusing less on the résumé that reads best on paper and more on the leader who fits the client’s specific situation.
Before PierceGray, Matt was a Principal at Korn Ferry and a Business Consultant at ZS Associates, where he led global, cross-functional teams working on clients’ go-to-market strategy and operations challenges. He began his career as a project manager at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, an environmental engineering firm. He holds a BS in Environmental Geosciences from the University of Notre Dame.
Born in California and now based in Chicago, Matt is an avid runner, traveler, and concertgoer.
