Tom Lafferty is a Managing Director at PierceGray, where he leads the firm’s Operations & Supply Chain Practice. Based in Oak Island, North Carolina, he joined the firm in 2014.
Tom works with high-growth companies and businesses in transition, recruiting the leaders responsible for their operations and supply chains. His searches span industries, with particular depth in industrial manufacturing and food & beverage. He spent two decades as an operator and consultant before moving into search, and he draws on that experience in how he evaluates candidates and advises clients.
A mechanical engineer by training, Tom began his career at ExxonMobil, then served as a Senior Manager and Director at EY and Deloitte.
He holds a BS and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University, along with an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Tom and his wife, Tracy, have been married for 33 years and are the parents of Natalie and Alex. He enjoys boating, fishing, cooking, 80s music, and spending time with friends.
