Proterial America | Conway, South Carolina | February 9, 2026 The Vice President of Operations will serve as the senior on-site operational leader for Metglas’ 24/7 manufacturing facility, with responsibility for all aspects of plant performance excluding Finance, HR, and IT. Reporting to the President & COO, this role represents a critical leadership transition as long-tenured technical leadership increasingly shifts focus toward enterprise-level priorities and future site development. The role will have 6 direct reports (R&D, Engineering, Procurement, Operations Management, a metallurgist, and a planner), with a total team of ~135. This leader will oversee Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Planning & Control, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Facilities, Logistics, and EHS, ensuring world-class safety, quality, delivery, cost, and scalability. The role requires comfort operating with ambiguity, building structure where little exists, and translating strategic growth plans into executable outcomes on the factory floor. The Vice President of Operations will own the delivery of Metglas’ manufacturing strategy, balancing near-term execution excellence with longer-term capacity expansion and operational scaling. This leader will drive safety, quality, throughput, cost control, and continuous improvement while developing leaders, systems, and processes capable of supporting significant growth in a highly technical, regulated environment. • Plant & Safety Leadership. Champion a safety-first culture as the organization’s top operational priority, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 9001, ITAR/EAR, and other regulatory requirements. Establish disciplined operating standards across a 24/7, multi-shift manufacturing environment. • Operational Excellence & Delivery. Own end-to-end manufacturing performance, ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time and within cost targets. Drive uptime, yield, and throughput improvements across complex, proprietary production processes. • Scaling, Capacity & Capital Management. Lead plant expansion initiatives, automation investments, and capital planning to support rapid revenue growth. Oversee facilities, maintenance, and asset reliability while preparing the operation to scale from a single-site footprint to a multi-site future. • Continuous Improvement & Lean Transformation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through the application of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools. Reduce cost, increase capacity, and improve efficiency while maintaining product quality and employee safety. • Cross-Functional & External Partnership. Partner closely with Engineering, R&D, Sales, and senior leadership to align operational capabilities with customer demand and growth objectives. Serve as a key interface with Federal and State agencies, including DOE and DoD, to support compliance, incentives, and strategic programs. • Leadership, Talent & Culture. Lead, mentor, and develop plant leadership and frontline teams, maintaining high employee engagement in a demanding, high-accountability environment.
