management support organization for ear, nose & throat (ENT) and Allergy practices. Formed in 2022, Parallel provides scalable support services to their partner practices to promote long-term growth and allow providers to focus on delivering the highest quality patient care. TX and has 500+ employees. Parallel currently consists of five practice partners with over 90 providers across 5 states and 25+ locations. Physician practice management (PPM) services provided include talent and human resources (HR) solutions, finance and accounting, information technology (IT) and electronic medical records (EMR) support, reputation management, collaboration, and more.

The Role

With support from Trinity Hunt Partners, Parallel continues to increase the
size and scale of its operations and partnerships. The company plans to
continue expanding its network over the next 3-5 years while also focusing
on driving operational efficiency and organic growth. Parallel is now
seeking to hire its first Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will have
accountability for Parallel and practice-level operational performance and
the future state of Parallel’s growing network.

The new leader is responsible for the management of the existing 5
practices as it pertains to directing and coordinating all aspects of practice
operations. The current network includes locations across Texas, Kansas,
Missouri, Michigan, and Delaware. The role will also be responsible for
integrating and scaling future practices added to the Parallel network. The
COO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Parallel.

Experience & Requirements

• 10+ years of professional tenure, including 5+ years of progressive
operational leadership experience in a relevant healthcare
environment. ENT and/or allergy experience preferred but not
required.
• Experience managing business and clinical operations for a multi-site
healthcare PPM network (e.g., front office operations, staffing,
scheduling, facility management, professional development,
certifications/compliance, continuing education, etc.).
• Experience collaborating with physicians and administrators to
support operational objectives and service excellence.
• Track record of successfully using data analytics to drive operating
playbook; experience applying Lean/CI principles to drive
operational improvements.
• Multiple experiences leading the functional and cultural integration
of add-on acquisitions with distinctive results and synergy
attainment.
• Excellent financial, quantitative, and analytical skills; experience with
business and operations performance reporting and developing
actionable insights.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact in a cross-functional
environment across all levels, from front line support staff to
physicians to executive management.
• Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain internal relationships;
able to drive alignment.
• Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and
presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal
stakeholders and external audiences.
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to
motivate him/herself and others; able to drive accountability and
operational excellence across every level of the organization.
