They are passionate about personalized hair care equating to confidence, thus, their range of products works for all hair types. Gimme Beauty distributes their products, which include hair ties, hair clips, brushes, combs and more, to a variety of large retailers including Walmart, CVS, Ulta, Target, Walgreens, Meijer, and Publix.
The Role
To support continued growth, Gimme Beauty is now seeking a new Head of Operations to take responsibility for professionalizing supply chain and operations management for the company.
With a strong focus on scaling and transforming the function for growth, the Head of Operations will be responsible for supply chain (including planning, procurement, order management, and fulfillment), warehouse operations, quality, and working closely with cross-functional leaders in Sales and Finance to ensure optimal cost, quality and speed to market.
The Head of Operations is responsible for the performance of the supply chain planning, warehouse and inventory management, logistics, distribution, and delivery network, and network optimization functions to achieve customer, operational, and financial goals. The role will partner with executive leadership to manage and improve integrated supply chain planning capabilities and optimize end-to-end supply chain performance. The role will provide leadership and direction to team members, foster an environment and culture of positivity, and work to develop those on their team. The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer, and manages a team of ~10, including 5 direct reports.
Experience & Requirements
•At least 8 years of professional experience, ideally with experience at well-respected consumer product brands.
•Operations and supply chain leadership and subject matter expertise across the following disciplines:
•Distribution and Fulfillment. Logistics, network design, and distribution center optimization; warehouse management; ideally in an omni-channel and e-commerce environment.
•Procurement and Supplier Management. Global procurement, including sourcing and transactional procurement operations. Supplier and external partner management, quality, cost, and risk control.
•Planning and Order Management. Creation and management of enterprise-level SIOP and long-term capacity planning processes. Management of the customer order process including receipt, tracking, fulfillment.
•Experience in a contract manufacturing environment with a heavy component of Asian-based sourcing for finished goods.
•Strong financial, quantitative, and analytical skills; able to baseline and track operational KPIs for supply chain.
•Strong project and program implementation and management skills; experience with project management tools.
•Manages change through influence; capable of driving buy-in and change across a diverse set of internal stakeholders.
•Polished executive presence and communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with executive audiences.
•A flexible, hands-on and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others; a natural bias for action and ability to deal with ambiguity.
