SVP, Supply Chain

Madison ReedSan Francisco, California | July 11, 2022

The Company

Madison Reed is a leading omni-channel haircare brand providing professional, high-performance hair color and care products manufactured without harsh ingredients. The company sells directly to consumers through its website, Amazon and 60 (growing to 120+ by 2023) US-based brick-and-mortar “Hair Color Bars” and has an exclusive partnership with retailer Ulta Beauty, which sells Madison Reed products in 1200 stores nationwide and 100 ULTA at Target . The company has approximately $150 million in annual revenue, ~600 employees and is headquartered in San Francisco, CA.

The Role

Madison Reed’s current supply chain and operations function consists of a team of nine professionals, overseeing sourcing & procurement, demand planning, supply planning & inventory management, order management & fulfillment, and logistics. Manufacturing is managed by a long-standing partner in Italy and the company has two 3PL relationships across three locations to kit and fulfill orders to customer in retail, wholesale, Amazon and DTC channels.
Today’s organization has supported a ~$150m business with consistent 50% year over year growth, however, as the business persues its omnichannel strategy the needs and complexity of the business have evolved. As such, Madison Reed has created the new role of Senior Vice President of Operations to oversee the function and develop an end-to-end supply chain strategy designed to support future growth.
While the company recently consolidated 3PL operations into one partner, a long-term omni-channel logistics and network design strategy needs to be developed. The new SVP will lead and grow the existing team and capabilities and own all external partner relationships. The position can be based anywhere in the US while the company HQ offices are in San Francisco, CA and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
