Fogo de Chão (Fogo) is a $750M annual revenue internationally renowned restaurant brand, originally from Brazil. What began as a small family-owned Churrascaria in 1997 has grown into ~100 company owned locations in the U.S. and 10 franchised international locations in the Middle East, South America and Mexico. Famed for its prix-fixe Full Churrasco experience, Fogo has elevated the culinary art of churrasco into an accessible cultural dining experience to a diverse consumer base. In recent years, Fogo has successfully expanded its menu to include lunch, brunch, and bar, including new menu items like seafood and vegetarian options.
The Role
To support the company’s continued growth, Fogo is investing in its Finance team and has created a new VP, FP&A and Business Insights position. The VP will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team and will be responsible for driving a deep understanding of current business performance and shaping the company’s long-term financial and strategic roadmap.
A strong problem-solver and data-driven thought partner, the VP will collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations and Information Technology (Data Management) to identify key business drivers, expose trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies that accelerate value creation. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will be based at company headquarters in Dallas, Texas.
Experience & Requirements
• Lead and develop a small yet powerful, high-performing FP&A team, helping accelerate value creation by providing critical timely insights and partnership to the Executive Leadership Team
• Own sales forecasting, including new unit development and margin maturation dynamics
• Deliver high-impact business insights and variance analyses, linking financial results, traffic, and other key metrics to plan and historical performance; includes monthly and quarterly financial reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors
• Lead the development and refinement of the 3-5 year strategic financial and operational plan; build annual budgets and P&L frameworks strategically consistent with long-range plan and aligned to long-term equity value creation
• Ensure the annual plan is grounded in clear, actionable initiatives with defined metrics, driving disciplined budgeting, forecasting, and accountability
• Incorporate and maintain (or build where needed) financial models for key levers including Sales, Marketing, Margin, Real Estate investments and expenses
• Develop and maintain views of market share evolution, competitive analysis and dynamics
• Lead development and coordination of monthly and quarterly Board materials
