The Role

Zelis sells products and solutions that provide value to all three key members of the healthcare lifecycle – payers, providers, and members; however, the primary customer base is the health plan market. Zelis currently services over 700 payer organizations throughout the United States, which includes a mixture of large national accounts, and smaller regional players. There is significant opportunity for growth within the health plan segment, both in terms of new logo accounts as well as to increase penetration into its existing customer base via cross-selling and upselling.

Experience & Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in healthcare tech and/or services sales; experience selling a SaaS product into the health plan market required.
• Demonstrated track record of breaking into new markets and achieving sales targets with annual quotas of $2M-$4M+. Capable of selling multiple solutions with short sales cycles (3-4 months).
• Experience leveraging CRM to track and report on leads, sales, and customer management activities.
• Business acumen and presence required to build credible relationships with EVP and C-Suite level clients.
• Excellent contract negotiation skills with a keen eye for details.
• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
• A champion for collaboration. Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
• Results-driven mentality with a dedication to achieving sales targets. Embraces a growth mindset.
• High level of flexibility, creativity, and dependability.
