The Company

Innovapptive is a SaaS-based asset management and efficiency solution for industrial companies. Its end to end platform connects front line workers, back offices, and assets to streamline production, increase collaboration and innovation, and keep employees safe. The organization has 325 employees and is headquartered in Houston, TX. In early 2023, Innovapptive received their Series B funding, led by Vista Equity Partners, with participation from Tiger Global Management.

The Role

In support of Innovapptive’s growth plans, the organization seeks to hire a Vice President of Sales to take over their commercial organization. This shift from Co-founder and CEO Sundeep Ravande will provide the infrastructure to scale the organization quickly and efficiently, with the Vice President of Sales playing a central role in growing the function’s processes, procedures, and headcount.

The Vice President of Sales will focus on driving commercial growth for the organization. This individual will lead a team of seven, with the intention to grow this team significantly throughout 2024. Early days will involve evaluating the sales team in place, upskilling where possible, and adding new high performers to the team. Additionally, the Vice President of Sales will develop and champion the process and playbook to generate sustainable, long-term growth for Innovapptive. They will act as a key contact for the organization to customers and prospects, stepping in when necessary to provide service or close a deal.

Experience & Requirements

• Sales team leadership experience in a SaaS organization of relevant scale and complexity. Experience in a B2B environment, with a complex, solution sale required.
• Experience driving sustainable revenue growth via new logo accounts, with experience growing an organization of similar scale at a rapid pace.
• Experience selling to the Fortune 500 with a national and/or global footprint. Ideal candidates will bring depth in the Industrials sector.
• Experience building, implementing, and leading strategic and operational commercial processes (e.g., customer segmentation and sales force design, sales process and systems, sales management and KPIs, compensation/incentive structures).
• Strong business acumen and financial skillsets, with the ability to analyze and effectively interpret financial, sales, marketing, and customer information for effective decision making.
• Strong leadership skills and proven judgement of talent, with an emphasis on hiring and developing high performing teams; able to influence, lead, and manage a global team within a complex organization.
• Manages change through influence; capable of driving major commercial decisions across a diverse set of internal stakeholders; collaborative and team oriented.
• Polished executive presence and communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with executive audiences.
• A flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others; able to work in a fast-paced, private-equity sponsored environment.
