The Company

Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and heating oil daily on a system that includes 5,500 miles of pipeline, tank farms, terminals, and other critical energy infrastructure across 14 states between Houston and New York harbor. Colonial Pipeline connects with 28 refineries to enable the transfer of fuel products to nearly 50 military installations and dozens of airports.

Colonial Pipeline Company is a privately held company with headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia. Originally founded by nine oil companies in 1962, today Colonial is owned by five entities: CDPQ Colonial Partners, L.P.; IFM (US) Colonial Pipeline 2, LLC; KKR-Keats Pipeline Investors, L.P.; Koch Capital Investments Company, LLC; Shell Midstream Operating, LLC.

The Role

Colonial Pipeline Company is adopting a product-centered technology model with 4 product platform teams focused on developing and delivering business applications in support of reliability and compliance, growth and customer experience, field operations, and enterprise shared services (HR, Finance, etc.). They have created a new role, VP Technology, Products & Platforms, to lead this function. This role is based at Colonial Pipeline headquarters in Alpharetta, GA, reports to the SVP OE&I and Chief Technology & Data Officer and leads a team of Directors and Managers.

Experience & Requirements

•15+ years of experience in enterprise level roles leading the development and delivery of technology solutions in a product and platform-centric operating model.
•8+ years of experience leading product development and delivery teams.
•Experience in the Oil & Gas industry or major pipeline companies a plus.
•Demonstrated ability to envision, architect, and build technology solutions that meet business objectives.
•Experience leading large, cross-functional technology development projects and teams.
•Strong background in Agile methodologies and history of leading teams to work in highly agile, cross-functional environments.
•Experience in cloud infrastructure and related technologies.
•Experience building and leading high-performing technical teams. Demonstrated success in developing and mentoring high-potential technical talent.
•Ability to collaborate and work across functions, business, and technology to deliver successful outcomes for the Company.
•Track record of partnering with technical leaders and business leaders to develop future business applications and solutions.
•Strong senior executive-level facing skills and ability to communicate complex analytical concepts with confidence to a non-technical executive audience.
•Track record of establishing credibility with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members
•Exhibits a natural bias for action and a focus on results delivery. Moves with a sense of urgency and easily anticipates next steps, follow-up actions and leadership direction.
•Lives in commuting distance to Alpharetta, GA or willing to relocate to the area.
